and year around rentals in the Poconos.
advice on renting a home in the Poconos.
There are three distinct
rental seasons in the Poconos. Summer - when people, mostly from
New Jersey, New York City and Long Island come to the Poconos to escape
the heat of the city and to enjoy the mountains, lakes, streams, rivers
and parks (both National and State.) During this season, cabins in the
woods and lakefronts are the most desired rentals. Fall - when
folks from the markets above and the Philadelphia region come to the mountains
for festivals and leaf season. Surprisingly, Thanksgiving is popular for
rentals in the Fall. Then, Winter, for snow sports and romantic
getaways. During the Winter season, rentals are concentrated around the
5 major ski resorts, with Camelback Mountain Resort being the most sought
after because, it is the geographic center of the Winter Poconos.
So... if you are vacationing
in the Winter season, expect to book early and pay a premium for rentals
near Snow Sports Resorts (Ski) in the Poconos. And, if coming in the summer,
expect lakefronts to be the most dear and least available.
